Washing Your Roof With A Pressure Washer

By Scott Rodgers

A disorderly state of your roof not only hampers the normal functioning of roofing setup but also hurts the serenity of the entire home. When it is about beautifying your home, the roofs deserve a quintessential attention.

Often, the homeowners consider their roof as an area that is bound to get dirty and clattered. Hence, they show minimal amount of interest in cleaning their roofs. Such an attitude may prove costly in the long run.

Washing your roof with the help of a sheer force of water is a wise alternative to the manual wash. To do so, walk down to a local hardware store and purchase a hose connect pressure washer. Make sure that the pressure of the equipment falls between 1200-2000 pounds per square inch. If you don't carry enough budgets to purchase the equipment then you can rent the washer.

Take a regular-sized hose pipe and connect its tail to a source of water supply. Screw the other end to the pressure washer you just brought in. Render normal supply to the apparatus by turning on the water control valve of the concerned source.

Insert the plug of the equipment into the associated socket and trigger the operation of the apparatus. Switch on the washer and wait for the water to gush out of the mouth of the pipe.

Hold the neck of the pressure washer muscularly and pull the trigger of the washer. A stream of water flows out of the washer with extreme pressure. Keep the face of the washer directed towards the peak of the roof.

Keep yourself firmly positioned throughout the life of the project. If you feel uncomfortable in standing on the roof then carry out the operation from the ladder only.

After all, a cleaner roof complements a beautiful home. - 29955
