Five Baby Shower Gift Ideas For Mom

By Gina Taylor

We all know a woman who is pregnant right now. It seems like everyone is having a baby. You might even be having a baby yourself. Below are a couple gift ideas that will be popular with the mom to be. These gift ideas will set you apart from the crowd and are sure to be remembered. If you are the one who is shopping for mom to be these are some great gift ideas. If you are mom to be, you might want to put these on your gift registry.

1. Diapers, diapers and more diapers. That is rather a unexciting gift but a very much needed gift. I have never met any mom who will complain about having too many diapers with a newborn infant at home. To make diapers fashionable you have to dress it up a bit. You can find diaper cakes in lots of gift sites. Many come with as many as 150 diapers, plus booties, bibs and tons of other necessities for baby, but all in the shape of an all so artful cake.

2. Blankets, burp cloths, and socks. Sure the mom to be will get a lot of these. But here is the way you can put a spin on this. Most people will buy for the newborn with very small sizes. After just 3 or 4 weeks, they will be too small. You can buy these gifts in sizes that are larger so that many months after the baby is born, your gift will still be used.

3. Pamper gifts and products for mom. Carrying a baby full term is hard on mom's body. There are many different kinds of products from foot massages to back massages that you can buy for mom.

4. Savings Bonds. A savings bond is a good way to help invest in the child's future. While everyone is thinking of now you are thinking ahead. It may also help jumpstart parents to jumpstart on baby's future if they haven't already.

5. Gift Certificates are the best. You can never go wrong with gift certificates. You do have to spend a little more on a gift certificate to get that wow look but think of it as time you are saving having to shop for a gift. You should buy a gift certificate at the store the gift registry is at. If there is no gift registry you may want to consider a gift check card. Gift check cards are from the major credit card companies and they look just like a credit card. They can be used at any store that accepts credit cards.

Tip: I don't recommend buying clothing unless the parents-to-be asked for it. Chances are they have already gone shopping and couldn't resist those tiny adorable outfits. - 29955
